Fake news! I signed up for a paid subscription in June.

I signed up to binge Girls5Eva and watch Ambulance, but I think once I finish The Resort I'll just cancel. Nothing else really grabbing my interest.

Everyone keeps telling me to watch Yellowstone but I have no real desire. The first episode being movie length doesn't help either

 

Yellowstone is sons of anarchy on a ranch in Montana. It’s dumb fun entertainment. I enjoyed watching it but can’t say I’d recommend it to anyone. I’m also a part time cowboy so that factors in as well.

 

Ugh just got to the Oliver plot on OC re-watch. The woooorst

 

The Americans is finally switching to Hulu today! Which means Hulu's FX library (minus Louie for good reason) is finally completed.

I've been wanted to re-watch it for the last month but have been waiting for the switch first.

 

Highly recommend Killing It on Peacock, and the MacGruber show obviously. Still need to get around to Girls5ever, the exclusive seasons of AP Bio, and maybe Rutherford Falls though

 

His Gore Vidal really was one of the best parts about the entire docuseries

I know it's not indicative of show's quality or anything, but it's wild to see a show that I've never even heard of get renewed for a 3rd season, there's so much content out there

 

I started that but then I started rewatching Into the Badlands instead and then I started something else, apparently I'm not good at finishing things

 

Thought the first 2 seasons of Warrior were fantastic, can't wait for season 3.

 

Total creepo; thankfully it gets marginally better after that plot is done

 

Also, Gaten Matarazzo's new film "Honor Society" is actually pretty good

 

The last thing I have to say about The Last Movie Stars is I love the analysis of Slap Shot by Hawke, Scorsese, and Newman's own words. I never really thought of it as a satire of capitalism and toxic masculinity before. I love the fact that Newman loved making that movie so much because he learned people would be more receptive to the message he wanted to get out if he did it through comedy instead of drama . I really want to re-watch it now.

 

Just got through the late S1 episode of Friday Night Lights where the assistant couch says a bunch of ignorant racist things to a reporter and causes outrage in the town. Really great episode.

As someone who could not give less of a shit about sports, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying this show so far, but I definitely feel like they’re playing it safe so far. Would really love for things to ramp up at some point.

 

Heh. Well. The second season certainly crosses the safe line…but probably not in the way you might be looking for. If no one’s told you yet, the second season got cut short due to the writer’s strike and honestly that was probably for the best in the end. So season 2 just kind of…stops. Season three shifts gears entirely and it’s really strong. The final three seasons were picked up by DirecTV in a deal with NBC where they’d air first on DirecTV and then later on NBC. As such, they’re shorter seasons and also my favorite run of the show. Once Michael B. Jordan shows up in season 4 and the show completely changes again, hot damn. I love season four.
