I don’t understand the desire to redo animation as live action, outside of the obvious cash grab. One of the beauties of the form is being able to depict larger-than-life imagery without feeling corny and maintaining a suspension of disbelief.

 

Just got done with hacks season 1. Loved it. Great drama and humor, and really good pacing on the story beats, and a great mix of humor and drama. I didnt go into it expecting to hate it per se, but im definitely not the target audience, and was surprised i liked it so much.

 

I think Season 2 is even better

I somehow had no idea this was the next Flanagan project or that there was even a teaser.

Do I think this movie will be good?

No.

Does it look wild as hell and like I'm gonna be screaming at my TV as I watch?

Hell yes.

 

That HBO Max doc I keep seeing trailers for about a murder at an "anarchist" conference in Mexico feels...weird. Like this is about Ancaps right? I can't imagine Anarcho-Syndicalists having wild spring break ass pool party in Cancun.

 

Wow, the first episode of The Rehearsal is absolutely wild.

4th episode of Only Murders S2 was fantastic

 

Going to install an "off" switch for my brain right before I watch this, turn it to "off", and then hit play

 

Recently started Friday Night Lights for the first time. V enjoyable so far. The teenage angst is real.

 

Damn don't make me put another good one on my watchlist

 

Finished The Bear and loved it. Ep 7 made me feel like I was holding my breath for it's entirety.

So many good new shows this year.

 

I'm 5 episodes into The Bear. Looking forward to finishing it tonight.

 

3 episodes into Dark Winds and it's very good

 

I need to start dark winds. I’m caught up on the old man and the last few episodes haven’t done much for me after the great start.

 

Don't recall a show that had such a significant drop off so soon as The Old Man.

 

I stopped halfway into ep4 and haven't had any urge to go back

 

The ending of this last episode is somewhat intriguing but yeah it got boring quick.
