I think filming wrapped back in April. Probably still in post-production. Still waiting on a release date.

 

I'm just waiting for any update at all on David Simon's "American leftist Lincoln Battalion volunteers in the Spanish Civil War" limited series that got announced a couple years ago

Also that Michael Mann "Battle of Hue City" Vietnam War limited series based on the Mark Bowden (Black Hawk Down, Killing Pablo) book that's been in development at FX forever.

 

I think the only show I've rewatched are Veronica Mars and the first few seasons of Law & Order SVU

 

Wowowow the bear is great

 

The Bear got me listening to Sufjan for the first time in like 10 years.

 

The Bear is so good. Ayo rules.

 

Just watched the first 3 episodes and yeah it rocks. Also shout out Matty in the Harms Way and Power Trip shirts.

 

Got done with the first 4 episodes of the bear and it's really good. It reminds me of uncut gems at times, as it's just so chaotic and stress inducing and the dialogue is often overlapping and often seems ad-libbed. Really liking all the characters and their flaws and motivations for their actions.

Despites it's heavy themes (addiction/suicide/toxic work cultures & abuse) it's balancing it all quite deftly.

It's an odd show to be catching on as it mixes a bunch of genres and themes, but whatever works I guess. It's just good TV at the moment.

 

Ha that's pretty funny. Definitely wasn't expecting her to act ever again.
