It is surreal to watch Sandler, Urkel and Anthony Edwards in the gym around the corner from my house

 

Hustle is mediocre. Paint by numbers, underwritten characters etc. Not funny enough or dramatic enough to be memorable. Sandler does well with what he has. Anthony Edwards was fun. Obviously the Philly bias bumps it up a bit

 

yeah if it wasn't for Sandler, I don't think I would have cared all that much for it.

 

Random but on HBO there's this show called "Dog house UK" and its the funniest fucking show I've ever watched. I've seen 3 episodes and legit these people ask the rescue for a certain type of dog and EVERY SINGLE TIME they give them the exact other thing.

Elderly couple "we need a small dog so grandma can walk it".... okay here's a 40lb beagle.

Little kid "my favorite dogs are huskies and labs and I want a dog to play fetch".... lmao okay heres two tiny decrepit chiwawas

Gay couple "we want a very fluffy dog, don't care what else, just super fluffy"... thin haired jack Russell who was shy

Is this a prank show? They spend the whole show about these people sob stories and in the end give them the complete opposite dog they ask for. Its hilarious

 

realized I never watched season 3 of Santa Clarita Diet and it'd been so long since I saw the first two seasons so I decided to start it back again from the beginning. Ran through season 1 in 2 days. Underrated show.

 

I was intrigued, so I looked into this, and it appears to not be a joke, but a very earnest show.

I think the implication is that what people think they want is not always what they need, and they seem to be approaching things from what the dog needs just as much as the potential owners.

 

Cha Cha Real Smooth was excellent.

Spiderhead was just fine. Chris Hemsworth's performance was entertaining.

 

yeah I feel like they could have made a much more...interesting movie with the source material. but it was just kind of a whatever sci-fi/action movie. Hemsworth did play unlikable guy very very well in it

 

spiderhead felt like i was watching two and a half movies. can we also get a moratorium on at least four songs being used as the most pointless of needle drops?

 

Decided to give “From” a shot. It’s alright. I’ve got one episode left. The writing and acting leave a lot to be desired (outside of Harold Perrineau who I love and a few others) and there’s a child actor/character that I wish they’d just kill off because the kid’s just not good, but the mythology’s pretty intriguing and I’ve enjoyed the development as the season’s wore on. Some of the writing in this though…oof. Occasionally reminds me a lot of the era of network dramas that were attempting to be the next Lost but with gore, swear words, and sex.

 

I stopped watching because of the son. He is one of the worst actors in the history of television.

 

Cha cha real smooth is perfect. Go watch it so Cooper can make whatever he wants.

Spiderhead was actually pretty good until the exact point where you instantly realize the writers of the Deadpool movies broke off from the short story and wrote their own ending

 

Yes. Every line is delivered the exact same way and it’s painful. Every time he opens his mouth I can’t help but think “There were other kids at the audition! I beat them all!”

 

it’s about basically a college kid DJing bar mitzvah parties instead of getting a job and it goes from there

Alright, I’ll give “From” this much: the cliffhanger at the end of the season is pretty good and I feel like the second season could potentially be a lot better.

 

Started watching Evil. Shockingly good for a show that originally aired on CBS. I've never watched Lucifer but I imagine this is incredibly similar.

 

Lucifer is pretty bad so probably not too similar if it’s good
