Staircase was just so god damn good. It's classic HBO showing off.

To be honest though, you had Toni Collette and Collin Firth, so like, there was 0 chance this wasn't going to be great.

 

Just binged the limited series Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey. The last episode sent chills down my spine. So sad and messed up.

I don't understand why they don't use their "all content all the time" approach but then also sprinkle in a little hype once in a while for things you truly feel good about. Very bizarre

 

well they kind of do for a very few select titles. Like stranger things is a beast

 

But yeah I have no fucking idea what Netflix is putting out any given day or week. Netflix won battles but HBO is gonna win the war

 

Never heard of Spiderhead until today. Solid cast and sounds like an interesting sci fi movie, but most likely if Netflix has been quiet about it is because the film got poor reactions from advance screenings.
Release it with no lead up like The Cloverfield Paradox and just hope the mystique of it all garners enough viewers before people find out it's trash lol

 

Tehran has been back but I don’t think I liked the first season enough to keep up with it.

IIRC he quit/fired from a movie for refusing to get the covid vaccine. But no allegations of abuse or anything like that.

He's staring in the highest grossing movie of the year (Maverick) and the upcoming Godfather tv show, doesnt seem like anyone's trying to sweep him under the rug
