nice surprise, I thought Tokyo Vice was a limited series (I'm only like half way through). One of the best things I've seen on HBO Max this year.

 

I thought so too until midway through the finale when I realized there was no way to wrap up the story by the end of the episode.

 

Yeah I thought the whole thing was fantastic; acting, setting, story, mood, everything. Even if bits of the actual story were made up, who cares; the show we got was amazing, so I'm really excited for a 2nd season

I think the only problem with Tokyo Vice is that the first episode is too good.

 

I need to finish Dark too. I absolutely LOVED season one, but the fact that it's so dense made it hard to focus for someone with ADHD like me.

The talk of Tokyo Vice just reminded me of this, but I really really liked Giri/Haji on netflix. It's super divisive as it's a pretty serious crime drama, but with some very artistic twists with the filming and the story (I'll say no more than that) but I thought it was stunning. Really good acting, and just a breath of something different. And while a 2nd season would be nice, it doesn't really end with a cliffhanger and a burning desire for more. It was a nice contained story.

 

The only problem with Tokyo Vice is that it’s Ansel Elgort in it

Giri/Haji is awesome.

 

Also hacks is so good. Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder have the best chemistry.

 

Can’t wait for that to get canceled after two seasons…
