I wish anyone other than Ryan Murphy was doing Impeachment because at this point I wouldn’t even trust him with his own biopic

 

The latest season of AHS has been surprisingly good, but yeah, Ryan Murphy is a hack haha. Just waiting for this season to fall apart in the end.

 

Centering Linda Tripp is a weird choice haha

 

Haunting of Hill House/Bly Manor filled any hole that might have been left from when I stopped watching AHS.

 

This is fair lol. AHS 1984 and Apocalypse are probably the worst seasons of television I've ever seen

 

I’m excited for Impeachment, but wasn’t aware of it not on streaming. Thanks for the heads up. Guess I’m watching it through my Xfinity app

 

I thought OJ was excellent. But I give like Ryan Murphy like 1% credit for that being why it was good.

 

Versace was good I thought.

 

Murphy may be a hack in other contexts but both seasons of ACS have been incredible

 

Crime Story 1 + 2 were great.
Horror Story has always, from season 1, been dumb fun but never great
Scream Queens was underrtaed
Horror Stories was 1/2 good episodes 1/2 bad episodes
Glee is hot trash
I haven't watched Pose, Feud, Politician, Hollywood, Ratched, 9-1-1 or Nip/Tuck

 

It's amazing.

 

Ah that’s right! Versace was great too. And some of the Netflix docs Murphy produced are good.

 

I like Glee don't block me.

 

Politician is fun! Versace is incredible, as is the OJ season. I’ve heard amazing things about Pose. Ratched and AHS can be guilty pleasures if you’re into that.

 

Pose was very good.

I forgot he did Nip/Tuck. It was trashy fun for a few seasons but went on way too long.

 

Wait, isn't this *season* of AHS almost over? I thought that was the whole point of Double Feature.

If that is true, this is probably the best season of TV he's done since SQ season 1.

May even be up there with Nip/Tuck 1&2.

 

I wish so badly that the Carver plot line didn't play out the way it did.

 

Yeah, Red Tide is halfway through - 3 more episodes including tonight. Then the second part will be 4 episodes. I'm hopeful the shorter story lengths will prevent it from falling apart at the end like most seasons, but I'm not holding my breath.

American Horror Story: Double Feature just started two weeks ago, only three of the ten episodes have aired.
American Horror Stories: Season 1 aired on hulu and ended right before Double Feature started

 

na, I just meant we have three eps in the can. figured it was a 5 / 5 split.

 

I’m interested in impeachment because of Beanie but if it ain’t on Hulu than oh well.

 

The problem with Ryan Murphy is that no matter what story he’s telling or what genre he’s working in, his work always has the same exact problems. I do think he’s grown in a few ways and helped make some positive changes in the industry, especially behind the camera, but mostly he’s just finding ways to do the same shit in multiple ways

 

glee was solid until it absolutely wasn't

 

I really think one of Glee’s biggest problems was that it started as a raunchy comedy and then they realized younger teenagers were obsessed with it and shifted that to their target demo. I had rewatched the first season last year and was shocked at some of the stuff they got away with.

 

Yeah it's a wild change in tone.
