I watched the first three episodes of that Nat Geo 9/11 series on Hulu.
Fuck, it got me really emotional. Reliving that day isn't easy, might need to take a day off before I watch another episode.

But it's seriously amazing how the 9/11 museum was able to piece together the entire day through footage. It's wild to think that in 2001 so many people had cameras ready, especially inside the towers.

 

‘Blindspotting’ was fantastic. You don’t need to see the movie first, but I’d recommend it.

Earl gives a star making performance.

I see these tweets about HBO Max not working for people but I’ve never had an issue with it on my AppleTV lol. At least not like more than once or twice.

I’d be curious to know which devices people use who have the most issues.

 

I will say it’s been behaving better for me recently “knocks on wood”.

 

Never had an issue with Maxx on my Roku TV at all. Back in the day the HBO Go app constantly made me resign in to my parents cable account.

 

Roku, the past couple weeks it takes me 3 tries to watch the other 2

HBO works just fine on my LG. Haven’t had any issues at all yet.

 

Yeah the HBO Max app sucks on the Roku in my bedroom, it loads incredibly slowly and doesn't run well when you're not actually watching something. It's better on my PS5. But also aside from problems with it working properly, it just isn't a good app in a lot of ways when it's working as intended. For example, the fast forward/rewind feature on it sucks and is so imprecise. I just don't get why everyone doesn't just copy how Netflix does it, they have it pretty well figured out.

 

PS4 HBO Max app is absolute dogshit. Constantly closes out of what I'm watching (probably every 20 minutes or so on average), rewind/fast-forward is super clunky and loads slowly after, and the UI feels like its constantly working against me and doesn't respond half the time when I'm scrolling and when it does it'll yeet me like 5 rows away form the show or movie I want to watch.

 

I use hbo max on fire stick. Works well about 98% of the time

 

Started The Sopranos for the first time last night. Can already tell this is going to be a great one.

 

I basically have to take 15 minutes and 5-10 tries to get any movie or show to start playing on HBO Max.

 

I can name at least five other streaming apps that I've had more problems with and are more poorly designed than HBO Max. I've had no problems with it on my Apple TV.

 

I've had a few issues with HBO Max but for the most part it works fine for me

 

Based on my experience and what I’ve heard from friends, HBOMax works great on Apple TV and ranges okay to terrible on nearly everything else.

 

I use an “Android TV” that I got for free from Verizon and hbo max works perfectly fine on that. I’m also the only person I’ve ever heard of that uses that device lol, but it kind of rules.

 

I have issues with HBO Max on my Roku and my Apple TV.

On my Apple TV, shows randomly stop playing and I get a screen to try playing again. Sometimes, the captions change to a new language between episodes. Other times, the "skip Intro" button appears at the wrong time and skips important content. I also hate how the "Skip Intro" button only appears for a few seconds so you have to race to pick up the remote.

On my Roku, the only issue is that there's a ton of lag when the app first loads. It's fine otherwise

 

Dang I thought the whole point of FX On Hulu is that *all* FX shows would be on Hulu the next day. Lame.

 

Wait, Impeachment won't be on Hulu at all? That seems like an odd one-off move for FX.

If it’s any consolation, the first episode was not good. But that’s a very weird situation to be in, especially when FX is pushing FX on Hulu so hard.
