can't imagine Netflix effectively generating excitement around/garnering a captive audience to watch a promotional event for new content when most of that content is slop they intentionally structure to be watched passively by their uninterested subscriber base

i'm probably ditching it after Wake Up, Dead Man releases

 

I am probably going to watch it out of curiosity, but I do expect it to bad.

In the back of my mind I am thinking they wouldn't be doing it like this unless they had something really big to surprise announce beyond just Stranger Things stuff, but I am probably wrong.

 

TUDUM reminded me of “The Hall,” a comedy hall of fame induction ceremony that Netflix did once and never again. It was extremely corny, dated and clear none of the comedians took it seriously.

 

That definitely could've gone in the shows that didn't happen thread.
