I always felt like live-actioning a great animated film or show was missing the point. I honestly can’t think of a single case where I like both adaptations.

 

I love Speed Racer and the Wachowskis’ adaptation, but that’s probably the exception that proves the rule. I have a lot of fondness for the live action Scooby Doo movie but I’m sure it wouldn’t actually be good if I rewatched it.

 

Well the last animated Scooby movie was crap and they screwed over Matthew Lillard, so what's there to lose? I just don't like that it's an origin story.

 

The live action Scoobys are plenty fun. Feels like everyone is all in on the silliness of it

 

Yup. The 2000s films are still really fun on and I rewatch them often. I was raised on Scooby so I’ll always have fondness for them

Less excited for this because the live actions after never really captured the magic. More excited for the anime series coming out this year.

 

Looks like filming of season 2 began back in January, so I'm guessing a release of sometime late this fall. And Elba will not be on a plane this time around, haha

Only watched two episodes so far, but I like Adolescence. Some might find it gimmicky, but I love the one shot experience. From a technical stand point, I find it fascinating. I like to find what scenes they're resetting in the background or changing something else.

 

I found myself wondering too! There some vids and articles out there that go behind the scenes it's all fascinating really.

Prime and Peacock need that ASAP. Especially since they have recommended content auto-play 5 seconds after a show ends.

 

echoing adolescence praise. first episode just blew my fucking mind. gotta watch the video on how they filmed this. incredible.

 

Whole series was good but the last 2 episodes were particularly great imo.

 

Yep just finished it today, great show. Dummy good performance from that kid in episode 3

I still need to catch up on the last two seasons of Mythic Quest, but I just found out there's a spin-off series out now. So that's really fucking cool. I'm glad Apple gives them a chance.
