Trailer pretty much looks as expected. An Adam Sandler movie in the year 2025 straight to Netflix. Wasn't expecting big things. Will certainly watch it release day, but having super low expectations.

 

Oh man, nothing about that instills confidence.

 

The man is a good showrunner though. It doesn't necessarily take playing the game to understand the story and everything. Maybe he watched youtube videos. lol

But still agreed anyway because it's a GOW show for Prime.

 

Fair, it could still be good on the basis of him just being good at what he does, but it feels better when you know a creator is an actual fan of the material. Detachment is not a great quality.

But he could still have experienced the games without playing it himself. I'm also wary for the same reasons. I'm just trying to cope because he's talented and it doesn't mean he for sure didn't fully research without having the controller in his hands.

Let's just hope the writers room has some more experience with the whole series though. Don't need a Witcher situation where the writers shit on the source material and piss off the lead actor.

 

Cory Barlog is an EP on the show, so I’d imagine he at least has some input on the direction of the series and how they are adapting it.

New FX series, full season hitting Hulu 4/4. Stars Michelle Williams, Jenny Slate, Rob Delaney, and Jay Duplass. Looks like Sissy Spacek is gonna be in there too but not sure if she’s main cast. And Marcello Hernandez!
