$320 million budget?! I am guessing $100 million goes to the cast and the russos alone!

 

I think it's mainly because Chris Pratt, the Russos and MBB demand a ton of money since they're not getting any on the back end, which is still ridiculous.

 

i'd say if they wanted to recoup some of those high costs, they could've at least put this in theaters , but i don't think i know anybody who would willing pay to see this

 

I want to say it could have done well, but I don't know how much of a draw Pratt is now in a non-IP movie (I think his last one was "Passengers," which sucked shit) and I am not sold at all on MBB being an actual draw outside of streaming (Her agents are geniuses for getting her bag after bag when I don't know if her name actually makes Netflix money, outside of "Stranger Things.").

 

Same with Red One when it was originally a straight to streaming film Dwayne Johnson got paid $50 million for it because he was also a producer on it.. at least Amazon released it in cinemas eventually to recoup some money which it didn't in the end

 

I think The Tomorrow War which starred Pratt was a hit for Amazon I believe

MBB must have the best agent in Hollywood securing $10 million dollar paychecks for her dispite the only theatrical 2 films she has appeared in was the 2 Godzilla films, all the rest have been streaming.

 

Ah, that's right! I consider that a Mike Mitchell movie (the real star).

 

Nah his last non-IP movie was The Tomorrow War, which also sucked.

 

The star of it, Michael Donovan Mitchell, was good though.
