Didn’t really care for “Woman of the Hour.” Just didn’t feel like the flashbacks worked and I didn’t really buy that Anna Kendrick is a woman in the ‘70s, especially (and I know we have to take movies on their own terms and not their real-life counterparts) because if you watch the episode, it has a way different energy than what’s depicted in the movie.

Kendrick is still great and shows promise as a director but that’s what this kind of felt like: A proof of concept that she can direct.

I started watching Casual, the TV show, because I was at a defecit for half hour shows. Thought the first season was enjoyable and the second pretty good. The third wasn't my favorite and holy shit the final/fourth season has been quite bad two episodes in, the time jump does not work at all

Kind of agree with most of this. She had one specific line of dialogue while on the show that was something similar to “it’s giving _____” and that took me out for a minute.

Heard a lot of good things about this doc outta Sundance. About a disabled man with a terminal illness who found a community of friends within WoW and how he was beloved and mourned by people within people in that community. Most of the doc makes use of the WoW engine to recreate scenes. It explores the meaningfulness and impact that virtual community and online friends can have on an individual.

Really trying to budget and save money where I can right now so I am dropping some services and downgrading my sub tier in others.

Dropped Disney+, I had an annual sub and was about to be charged $180 for the year. I am dropping Apple TV+. Going to the cheapest ad tiers for Netflix and Max. I already had the monthly ad tier for Hulu so I am keeping that where it is. My Amazon Prime, Peacock, and Paramount+ annual subs don't renew until next year so I am keeping those for now.

For the monthly subs I was paying almost $60 a month. I think with taxes I am now dropping it to around $35ish a month for streaming services.

Don’t you have limited access to content on the cheapest Netflix tier?

Gotcha. Just wanted to let you know in case.

it’s what’s kept me from going to the lowest. Granted I’m only temporarily subscribed right now for a month or two

You lose access to some movies, but most Netflix originals are untouched. I think the biggest Netflix Original you can't watch on the ad tier is House Of Cards and honestly who gives a shit about that show anyway?

I hated Max with ads because they would just drop in without warning. I feel like Hulu has them a little more integrated.

I think it’s peacock that does like 4 minutes of ads before the movie and then no ad breaks during. That’s the best.

I also found out I could have been getting Amazon Prime for free with my metro pcs plan this whole time... I just downgraded my phone plan so not anymore, but I could have been saving like a hundred bucks a year for the past 5 years..
