couldn't get into The Good Place either unfortunately. my wife loved it though

 

Loved The Good Place but the first season is so, so much better than the subsequent ones

 

never watched it in full, but my partner loved everything up until the ending, which he calls one of the worst finales

 

The ending was great, one of the best things about the show.

also, like most big comedies like that, the first season has a lot of nostalgia for introducing the characters but is hard to go back and rewatch. it's impossible believing a will-they-won't-they for chidi and eleanor knowing what happens

 

again, i've yet to watch it, and we disagree on film & TV takes every now and then, so perhaps it's really good

 

Only having watched a hand full of episode I can tell you it is not good.

 

Sounds like Grimace is from The Bad Place, sad.

I really disliked the first season of The Good Place. You kinda have to get into season two to know if you like the show or not. There was some stuff with Chidi that rubbed me the wrong way but the finale was beautiful

 

I just hated the whole going back to earth and meeting up in Australia storyline. That shit went on for way too long.
