If you mostly want to follow new shows that are getting a lot of critic/public attention, Apple TV+. If you want a big library or specifically want to watch CBS procedurals, Paramount+.

 

Apple has Severance. That alone should sway your vote.

 

Apple is up there with Max in quality original shows.

Apple would be my choice. Has a way higher hit rate in terms of their original shows actually being good. Its kind of close to what HBO used to be before the Max bs. Also some really good nature and travel docuseries.

the best thing about Paramount+ - and the main reason i subscribe - is Evil, and they're prematurely ending it this summer, so that's already one point against them (combined with Showtime losing most new A24 films and the fact that the app rarely ever works on my Chromecast).

 

Paramount+ has soooo much content behind the Showtime add-on paywall. And it feels like it always the stuff I want to watch
