It's been kind of mid so far, but Masters of the Air just featured an absolutely beautiful goosebump inducing cover of Woody Guthrie's Tear The Fascists Down that might honestly be my TV needledrop of 2024 so far.

 

Started The Crown. Great stuff

 

To people who have watched all of The Crown, what was your favorite of the 3 eras? I think seasons 3/4 Olivia Colman era was my favorite.

 

I actually really like the early stuff. I feel like they were more critical of the monarchy in the earlier seasons. All of it is good though

 

Constellation is off to a great start. Getting a little bit of Dark vibes, so curious where it all goes.

 

My wife and I wanted to start Halt and Catch Fire tonight but turns out it’s only available on AMC+ which is annoying

 

I still have a couple episodes left to go in the final season, but the first era is my favorite. Matt Smith and Vanessa Kirby are so good in those seasons.

 

it’s wild that with all the streaming services amc isn’t a part of any and you have to add it to one of them.

 

Season 3 in particular I think is my favorite season just in terms of quality episode to episode. Aberfan, the Welsh language one, the hilariously ridiculous moon landing one where Philip tried to fly his plane to space, the Mr. Krabs playing LBJ one, the Princess Alice one, the coup one, the KGB spy one. All bangers.

Also Tobias Menzies is definitely my favorite Prince Philip in the series.

 

1/2 was my favorite queen. 3/4 had some great episodes with some clunkers too.

 

I've been dying to rewatch this for years since it went off the air. Loved that show so much, but not enough to sign up for AMC. Really starting cooking season 2.

 

I signed up for an AMC+ trial when I had Covid last year and rewatched the show in a week and cancelled. Still holds up (I skipped the first season)

 

I only ever saw the first season

 

Keep going. The first season isn’t great, becomes one of the best shows ever made
