I wish I hadn't gone into Murder At the End of the World expecting anything as weird as The OA.

 

That's a bummer, I still haven't started it but I have such high hopes

 

Right? I didn't know it was a euro show (just like that other one where the husband is dead, but then seen on the house cameras) but just could not get into it.

Edit: But that airplane hostgage show was great the other month.

 

never watched the OA but the murder at the end of the world was a big disappointment, there's probably a solid movie in there but it didn't need 7 or whatever episodes

 

Anyone watch the Ted (Seth Macfalane) series yet?

 

The OA is incredible.

MATEOW is good, but pretty straightforward comparatively. Still worth watching imo.

 

I think the flashbacks in A Murder at the End of the World were more compelling than the present-day(?) stuff, and would've preferred more focus on that story and Bill and Darby's relationship.

 

I felt neither the flashbacks or present day stuff felt fleshed out enough for a series.

 

Anyways started the x-files the other day and it’s so fun.

 

This is a big one I want to watch at some point soon. Going to do all of The Twilight Zone first though.

 

twilight zone is sooo good, I’ve seen so many of those episodes 10+ times

 

As far as I know I've never seen any of it, which is crazy considering how much I love sci-fi and horror.

Had you not seen any of it prior? Interested to see if / when you duck out.

 

I watched like 3 episodes a few years ago. I don’t know anything about if/when it gets bad but I plan on watching it all.

 

I'm also watching the original The Twilight Zone series for the first time and I'm loving it. Even when I feel that the premise of an episode isn't interesting at the start, I'm sucked in by the end of it.

 

There's gems in every season, but also some pretty boring ones in each.

These are my favorite episode:

Jose Chung’s From Outer Space – Season 3 Episode 20

Home – Season 4 Episode 2 (best episode hands down, I watch every Halloween)

The Post-Modern Prometheus – Season 5 Episode 5

Bad Blood – Season 5 Episode 12 (2nd favorite after Home, has Ham from the Sandlot and Luke Wilson)

Arcadia – Season 6 Episode 15

X-Cops - Season 7 Episode 12 (COPS / X-Files Crossover)

 

X-Files is one of my fav shows, but I always stop any rewatch when Mulder leaves lol (even tho it was already struggling quality-wise by then)

 

I’ll watch it for when Murder Bryan does more “Ted Talk” podcasts. I saw the second one, so I clearly don’t value my time anyway.

 

I didn’t know he left!! Now I won’t be watching any further.

 

I’m 10 episodes in and Ice is my favorite one so far.

 

yessss. Ice was always one of my favs, even if it's a bit cliche. There's a similar episode that's fire based too eventually lol

 

the first season is one of the worst ones IMO.
