I guess the RnR HOF ceremony is streaming on Disney+ for the first time this month, and they're going to push to make it relevant.

Calling it now RATM is going to make a pro-Palestine statement on stage and Disney is going to cut it from the broadcast

For anyone who likes classic TV: the full series of LA Law is coming to streaming for the first time on Hulu 11/3

It won the Outstanding Drama Emmy 4 times, so I will definitely check it out.

Tried to watch Pain Hustlers. This is terrible. "By the numbers", D version of similar movies.
I've just seen a few "opioid" crisis docus and movies too that do the topic way more justice.

    This is lazy

I mentioned I think in the general thread months ago, that an @midnight revival is kind of brilliant for this era.because unlike a traditional talk show it's going to play well on streaming. For example i would never watch an entire episode of Late Show on Paramount+ or Jimmy Kimmel on Hulu the next day, but if this is good this is a concept I could see myself watching on streaming a lot.

‘Yellowstone’ Sets Premiere Date for Final Run, Two More Spinoffs in the Works

    https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/t...date-final-episodes-more-spinoffs-1235635194/

"The two spinoffs in the works are a present-day story with the working title of 2024 and another prequel, 1944, that will follow in the footsteps of 1883 and 1923."

"The 2024 spinoff will, as its working title implies, be set in the present and air after the main series finishes. It’s expected to continue exploring the Dutton family dynasty with new characters and locations, as well as some existing characters. Details on 1944 are scarce at the moment."

Based on the book, pretty sure there was a 1980 miniseries as well:

I have been waiting for this one. Langraff hyped this up hard in the Disney investor presentation during Covid a few years ago as one of the two major big budget projects FX is working on (along with the Alien series). The 1980 miniseries ruled. I got the book on Audible but only listened to about half, need to finish before this comes out.

this intrigued me when I saw it on Max's homepage. That specific artwork brings to mind Akira.

I don’t know if there’s any fans here, but Letterkenny is coming to an end with its final season premiering on Christmas

I haven't watched it in a while but love Letterkenny, makes sense they'd end after a pretty great run and 12 seasons.

  19. There are echoes of Akira, Nausicaa/Mononoke/Ghibli, and Perfect Blue for sure, with at least one moment that I interpreted as a direct homage to latter.

I really cant stand streamers locking 4K behind the higher paywall, god forbid us poors see things in high res

  23. Charging more for 4k streaming is bullshit

  24. Of all the bullshit that they do, charging more for 4K is one of the most logical things. At least you're paying for an actual user benefit, and there are actual increased hosting/infrastructure costs associated with the higher quality.

    Yeah, but get this

They don't improve anything, they constantly remove content, they raise prices, they bring back ads, they remove the number of devices that can be used, they cancel shows, and much much more.

The one thing they can do with all their price changes is 4k.
