The Devil on Trial was certainly interesting lol.

It's not until the very end that they reveal the mother was drugging them the entire time!. It was such an afterthought when it's a pretty big fucking deal lol

 

Fargo season 1 was good. Martin freeman is good in everything I see him in. His first half of the season character reminded me so much of his Bilbo from the Hobbit lol.

I'm watching Things Heard and Seen because I've seen it before but have absolutely no memory of it, and man the guy who plays the husband George is so good at playing a smarmy loser

Also, earlier I was watching I See You and it reminded me of my least favorite trope in horror/suspense which is when a completely bizarre thing happens that makes no sense and the character just seems to shrug and forget about it after 2 seconds. I get humans rationalize a lot in their brains but sometimes it's like COME ON.

She asks the repairman who let him in the house and he's like "oh your daughter." Guys, SHE HAS NO DAUGHTER. And instead of asking more questions because that's weird af, she's just like aw well I have a teenage son who it would be difficult to mistake but whatevs it was probs a mixup I'm just gonna blow past that one and keep it moving.

 

Okay, also when someone finds out that someone else is a killer and is like "I know what you did!! I'm calling the cops on you!!" Like let's play things a lil close to the chest and not anger the axe murderer, ok?!

 

I finally got around to watching Midnight Mass. really good.

 

If You Were The Last on Peacock was cute. Kinda had a Zach Braff/Demitri Martin core b-side from 2007 type vibe. Zoe Chao continues to be my fav

 

Blood of Zeus looked fun, turns out it's not

Not sure when they added it, but I see Max has a live CNN stream now. That is something that even CNN's shitty streamer didn't have.

Are they going to do away with Hulu entirely then? Or are some of the non-Disney movies and shows sticking around?

 

There were reports earlier this year I think that Iger wanted to combine Hulu and Disney+ into one streaming service, if I’m remembering correctly. I know that doesn’t really answer your exact question, but I think that’s all that is known right now

 

if HBO Max + Discovery = Max, then Disney Plus + Hulu = Plus

 

I am but I'm a few episodes behind now. I've loved it so far though, it's pretty much exactly what I was hoping for.

 

I mean Hulu/Disney+ is already really one service internationally. So they're just going to make Disney+ in the US like they how it is overseas. If you have a VPN you can technically already get Disney+/Hulu combo lol

 

It's been mentioned a couple times, but I have to say that Scavengers Reign has been incredible so far. Its envisioning of an alien planet is so expansive and mesmerizing. It's scary, it's beautiful, it's grotesque. It's all the shit I love in sci-fi. Highly recommended if you have Max, the one to watch for HBO
