Watching the first episode of Goosebumps and idk how this script was greenlit for a goosebumps series. Idk id I’ll even make it through the other episodes if they’re as bad as this one.

 

Yea, that first episode was a little rough.

 

It feels like an mtv/cw horror show instead of goosebumps. Which is a bummer since I enjoy the original goosebumps show.

The next two episodes are much better, IMO.

 

We’ve been watching Goosebumps with my kids the past two nights. We are enjoying it although I went into it with zero expectations.

 

Is goosebumps a continuous story or is each episode a standalone thing? I saw the episode titles were each based on a different book

 

Continuous story. Similar to what’s happened with Are You Afraid of the Dark since it’s reboot.

 

I feel compelled to add that hearing R.E.M in episode 1 and Nine Inch Nails in episode 2 ruled.

 

I personally really loved the way Sex Education wrapped up. As a whole, the last season didn’t hit as hard as the others, but it was still quality. And I’m going to miss being in that bizarro world. Overall an amazing show.

 

For those of you not fans of the goosebumps shows, did you read the books growing up?

I think I read every one of the first 60 or so goosebumps books growing up, many of them twice. So many good memories attached to that series

 

I tried to watch The Mask episode of the new Goosebumps show and couldn't make it through it. Then I watched the original on Netflix haha. So cheesy in the best ways.

 

The original one actually messed with me as a kid. The floating heads. Carly getting all mean with that creepy voice and the way the mask got all sweaty. *shivers* I’d never expect to like a new goosebumps series as an adult, but the little hits of nostalgia are probably enough to get past the CW teen drama of it all and finish out the season

 

I like what they’re doing with the new Goosebumps. My kids are enjoying it.

 

Why isn’t Grounded for Life streaming on anything? Life is bullshit

 

Because it's a very average sitcom (that I did admittedly watch and enjoy)

You're right though, that's lame. Is Yes Dear on anything either? I liked that one. Mike Omalley is hilarious.

Grounded for Life is well above average. I caught an episode on cable the other day and it was just as good as I remember
