I thought Mr. Robot was a way better binge than watching it week to week. Season 2 was VERY slow and frustrating as it aired, but when bingeing it, I actually loved that season

 

Yeah I originally dropped it early in season 2 because it just fell off my radar but binged it over a few days after it was finished and it was one of the best TV experiences I've had. Season 2 comes together very well by the end imo and then 3 and 4 are just incredible.

 

Tbf there is a very good reason for this arc regarding Elliot’s repressed feelings about child abuse. But yeah at the time it seemed like a strange side track

 

it def has a reason to exist in the narrative but I just can't buy Robinson as threatening at all haha. and the sitcom episode has always bounced off me, it's the one time the show felt too cute with the meta stuff imo

 

Patrick Stump was in this episode of House just being adorbz and the next episode we just pretend like his lil storyline with Dr. Park didn't happen???

Theater Camp ruled! I knew nothing about it going into it, and I loved it.

 

I still need to watch it. The cast alone peaks my interest.

 

Theater Camp reminds me of Wet Hot American Summer, but theater instead of outdoor camping.

 

That's all the info I need to make sure to watch it now.

 

It just wasn’t very funny to me. And Ayo was severely underused.

 

I had the exact thought! And it's less batshit crazy haha. But yes, I got a lot of WHAS vibes from it too.

yeah they set that character up pretty good and then there was no pay off at all, really weird.

Ayo’s character reminded me of the Molly Shannon character from Wet Hot, but without the comedic payoff of the consoling kid.

I really wanted to like Theater Camp because that genre is so ripe for comedy. I just don’t think Molly Gordon and Ben Platt’s subplot was that interesting or funny. The kid stuff had way more comedic juice, especially the Minari kid, and that feels mostly forgotten once the serious stuff comes in. Also, it’s tough imagining how much better it would have been with Amy Sedaris.

 

Dark Winds is good

 

I liked Theater Camp a lot! I would’ve watched an hour of Molly Gordon and Ben Platt perform bad songs to announce plays and where they’ll be performed

 

I think y'all are overthinking Theater Camp. It's a good time

 

Could have sworn we had a Traitors thread, but can’t seem to find it. Anyway, this looks like a great cast for season 2, supposedly starts filming next week.

 

Janelle and Dan is all I care about if that's true

Lindsay Hubbard is one of the best reality stars we have. Those that don’t watch Summer House are missing out.

But obviously hugely excited for Dan and Janelle lol.
