I haven't seen dopesick but I've liked most hulu mini series sonill assume itd pretty decent.


Painkiller was pretty bad. A lot of cliches. Lack of direction. Beats you over the head like you're 5 the whole time.

Its an easy watch and there's certainly worse on Netflix, which is a really low bar, but I guarantee Dopesick is way better

 

Dopesick was good. Just brutal portrayal of the affects of the drugs. Well acted.

 

I liked Dopesick a lot. Painkiller looks like it covers a lot of the same ground, but doesn't look very good from the trailers.

Dopesick was so effective with its message it might have a negative effect. After watching Dopesick my dad started to refuse medication his doctor was saying he needed "because they're just trying to push on me shit I don't need that their sales reps and the hospital administrators are telling them push". His doctors dismissed him as a patient because of it.

 

Oh god Netflix is promoting a Depp v Heard show. Does anyone know if this handled the case with care or offers any interesting criticism or is it just a gross Depp redemption arc like the media’s coverage of the trial?

Weird thing going on, Miracle Workers season 4 episode 7 is just not available on Hulu. The season is currently airing and it just goes from 6 to 8

Finally started I Am a Virgo. First episode was really great.

 

Painkillers is good. Just finished.

It’s a fast, medium depth take on things and not too emotionally overwhelming. A lot of great acting. Uzo Aduba really shines. Broderick too.

Haven’t seen Dopesick.

 

Pluto TV is pretty sweet, Nick is currently marathoning Fairly Oddparents lol throwback

 

Pluto is my go to streamer to put on in the background while I work.

 

It definitely seems like good background noise for nostalgic shows. Just found a Degrassi channel too, sweett

yeah I don't think it'll work. You have to put in like, a home zip code.

 

and then does it retrieve your location and lock you out if you’re not in that zip code?

 

yeah, I've tried to let one of my friends like 40 miles away use and it tells them something like "Looks like you're not home right now," I think? it's been awhile
