Alpha, It Was Just An Accident, Sentimental Value, The Secret Agent, Sirât were all in completion for the award
I loathe Republicans as much as the next guy but if he is in fact one and we're to boycott his film then there are a whole lot more things that need boycotting too
That’s Jeremy Jahns. He gave a positive review to that terrible Matt Walsh doc and is just one of those popular YouTube movie critics who time has passed by. Stuckmann has a pretty interesting story about leaving a Jehovah’s Witness cult. I give him credit for being a Northeast Ohio guy that has made it and is pursuing his passion. Almost always thought his movie reviews were pretty bad, with very little insight. But some people thought that was part of his charm. Maybe he’s a decent filmmaker. Pretty messed up they start a trailer with a suicide. Like, why?
Yeah, he was definitely part of the long downhill slide of film criticism on YouTube. Now, he doesn’t even do critiques of movies since he’s part of the industry. He just talks about movies, which he was always bad at anyway. It’s the lowest bar, but I do give him credit for not doing the whole “This is woke” grift that Jeremy Jahns and so many have done.
Stuckman has never really had anything interesting to say about movies and I have a lot of doubts about the quality of this film but I give him credit for pursuing his dreams and seeming like a nice enough guy that didn’t become another YouTube grifter
Also wasn’t this a found footage movie originally? Did Mike Flanagan ghost direct the reshoots like Chad Stahelski did on Ballerina lol
