It’s a solid live set from that era, cool that we have it. Not revelatory or anything. Good version of “Lookout Joe” though
On the Beach is amazing. If you haven’t heard the 1974 Bottom Line bootleg, you owe it to yourself to dig it up
I still have so many proper albums to hear from him that all the bootlegs and live releases and such are really overwhelming to me.
Homegrown to be officially released May 29th (!!!) First song (feat. Emmylou Harris on backing vox and Levon Helm on drums) is out now:
Bah. Crazy that we don’t have a stand-alone thread for this one. So great. Bob Dylan and Neil Young dropping year end list contenders on the same day in 2020. Nbd. (And Phoebe Bridgers as well of course).
Listened to the new record yesterday and liked it a fair amount Also, happy 45th birthday today to Tonight's the Night
Got the vinyl on Sunday. Sounds incredible. Neil Young being an audiophile has its benefits. one of the best sounding records I’ve purchased in a minute.
Such a consistently good artist. My favorite by him is After the Gold Rush, but I still have more to listen to. Looking back on this thread, I’m excited to listen to Hitchhiker later.
