More painfully mediocre material. I want to root for this band because they’ve done stuff I like in the past, but this new album just isn’t cutting it so far. It’s not even like they’ve made a huge departure in sound, it’s just the same thing but a mid-tempo slog. The lyrics aren’t as bad in this song, but it’s probably the least catchy one so far. They’re at about 1/4 for me so far. When You Know is the best one I think, but even that would have been a weaker track on their last two albums. Very disappointing.
agreed. I didn’t really get into these guys until the peace and the panic and I had heard the other stuff, but I just felt like they were TSSF lite. Anyway, I was excited for them to put out a new album but none of these songs are doing it for me
