The biggest reasons that job has potential is because the conference outside of UK is not daunting. It's good, not great teams for the most part. Also, being close to Texas is is good and getting to Georgia or Florida is not super difficult. I just have my doubts about it working at LSU where football is clearly more important. I would think the idea for Wade would be to be there a few seasons and make another jump. The 6-year deal sounds like an insurance policy for the school. Assuming Wade does well and leaves, LSU will ensure a nice buyout.
Gonna be a toss up tonight, Michigan will probably win and have journalists stoked. Altman is a way better coach but Boucher is incredibly important and underrated so his loss is big for such an undersized team.
Rumors of Wichita State joining the aac. Eh I don't like it for either parties. A10 or big East would make more sense
AAC makes a whole lot of sense because they only have 11 basketball members and 12 football members, plus their TV deal is up within the next couple years which is the perfect time to add
but it's a slippery slope no? in terms of adding non-football schools. you dont want it to become like the big east a few years ago.
it's a little different though because navy is currently football only so this would be evening that out
hmm, i guess you're right, in terms of they dont want to add anymore football teams right now (unless they wanted to purge teams like Western Kentucky and La Tech and MTSU from USA)... but i guess just adding wichita isnt the worst. for wichita, i always envisioned them in the big east to join their pals Creighton (although i love the big east conference the way it is right now)
just realized Wisconsin is playing essentially at the same time as the UCLA/Kentucky game tomorrow night, weak.
