This has been such an odd day of basketball. No team who was "down" in the 2nd half was ever able to make any kind of comeback Were you the team in control in the 2nd half? Yeah you won. And it's not like these teams had huge leads either in these games. 5 pt leads felt impossible to overcome today
Yes! Go Cyclones! And hey, my bracket's still perfect! All I had to do was imagine the least exciting tournament I could think of.
Xavier and Middle Tennessee seem like upsets if you just look at seeding, but I could definitely go for a more wild day tomorrow.
Except everyone in the world was taking mtsu. It's not often that 12 seeds actually become betting favorites at tip off Xavier felt like the one true upset
2017 March Madness Predictions this says it all about how Thursday went :/ according to espn, it was the first time in 17 years where no underdog of more than 2 points won. And it's not even that... it was the ho hum flow of every game that just made today feel so blah. Even in 6/11, 8/9, 7/10 games (not named NW/Vandy)...all those games were in hand in the 2nd for the most part oh well.. lets go hall tomorrow! that will make things better
15-1 yesterday alright alright alright. Gonna do some day drinking today and expect my bracket to be ruined by the time I have dinner, judging on past performance
I was doing great until those pesky night games. I have several upsets today, so we'll see what happens.
I was undefeated when I went to bed, something told me to pick Nevada and that's where I took the L. I just couldn't stay up any longer even though I'm off today. Turns out getting up at 4:30/4:45 a few days in a row when you normally get up at 6 really throws you off. Especially when you're getting up that early to just shovel neverending amounts of snow
Went 13-3 yesterday. I really hope Michigan State pulls it off tonight. I have no faith in them this year, but I need at least one win after being heartbroken with them last year
Haha, you can really tell that I only watch the regional games. In the South and the East I got every game right. I missed 5 between the other divisions
I'm 14-2 after day 1, and my champion pick didn't get knocked out in the 1st round so I'm doing much better than last year.
Between losing Michigan State on the first day and Syracuse's impossible run, I had much more fun watching last year than most.
MSU was my champion pick last year but mtsu is local (ish) so it was a lot of fun. Last year's tournament was an absolute insane blast.
i'm 14-2, and i would have been 15-1 but i couldn't not pick the terps for a first game even though i didn't think they'd win, hah
Yea 15-1 is probably my best first day record. I'm still annoyed by Vanderbilt preventing my perfect bracket though.
