Wonder how much is just a fluke and how much is the transfer portal depriving midmajora of top level players. Like Steph Curry in this era would've transferred out of Davidson well before their tourney run
Happy for my Tigers. Hope Johni is fully ready to go by Saturday. We could use the rest. I hope we get revenge on the Gators, and hope Houston pulls off the upset, though I won’t be made if we get to avenge our loss in Cameron.
Yeah for sure. I don’t know about the other schools but Chinyelu and Richard are the only new starters for Florida and I think they’re both grad transfers. But definitely interesting to see how the NIL market changes things. Alijiah Richard is the only player to make the final four with two different teams after this weekend.
Yeah, Auburn has a lot of transfers, but Kelly from Georgia Tech is the only new starter, and the only other big contributor who is new is Pettiford who is a freshman. Everyone else was on our team last year.
I’m really proud of this group of Vols. Kinda has flown under the radar we’ve been down two scholarship players almost the entire season because of how well they’ve performed. Ran into a team today we couldn’t quite get going against and still can’t get over that Elite Eight to Final Four hump, but Zakai and Jahmai were really special guys and extremely fun to cheer on for the last four years.
Auburn is getting away with a lot right now But still a close game. Florida needs to take better care of the ball.
I feel like Bruce Pearl has almost always been sketchy, at least back to his UW-Milwaukee days, or at least looked that way and this season / with the beard he definitely looks like a sleazy Florida car sales / wanna be mafia looking guy
Lmao they just called Florida for a foul and then showed a replay where Clayton cleared for fouled on made shot but they didn’t call it.
The real tourney - the college basketball crown, which is absolutely knew was a thing before this week, has gone great for me. GBR. Go Knights.
I guess so? But it’s not like he’s that small for a point guard though. He’s technically bigger than players like Steph and Brunson, not saying he’d be playing at their caliber at the next level but I feel like playstyles are comparable. His overall stats have been pretty consistent the last 3 years so it’s not like this is a random breakout. Maybe it’s just because he hasn’t been able to standout nationally until this season.
