Yeah I think that has been one of their best traits as a team so far. They’ve been able to make comebacks after lackluster first halves on the road quite a few times this season.
Blow out win for Duke 110-67. Really wish it was a closer game given how good Illinois looked the first half of the season
I was at the Duke game and it became a social gathering after the half. Wild. Spencer Hubbard drilling a 3 sent the crowd into a tizzy.
There's a lot of reasons that I think the portal isn't working right for college football, but man if college basketball isn't reaping serious benefits from it. The fact there are 6 NCAAM and 7 NCAAW teams with legit claims on 1 seeds this late into the season is really cool to see.
What's that ongoing theorem that since the year 200X, if a school has a certain record by X point in the season, they are considered to be a potential winner of the NCAA Tournament based on past years? It's basically right before regular conference games begin, schools have already played their toughest opponents with the early season tournaments. I'm doing my best to describe it, but realized I may be sounding insane
Huge win for Illinois. After getting absolutely dismantled by duke they beat Iowa by 20. Michigan by 20 and Purdue by 8
I know they say that conference play doesn’t really affect tourney seeding all that much, but I could see any potential Tennessee-Florida semi/final in the SEC being the final vote for either team as fourth 1/first 2 just because of how close the resumes are. Hopefully Bama doesn’t upset Auburn today to add them back into that mix, too.
I thought Jason would post in here more because Duke looks unstoppable this year. We beat them earlier this year but just tanked after that.
Obviously, Duke and Houston are qualified one seeds, and will no doubt be them come tourney time. But it’s insane the SEC has legit four teams with one seed resumes. Three of the four 2 seeds will probably be SEC teams.
I fully suspect Auburn is a 1 no matter what, Florida, Tennessee, and Bama will go in the order they finish the SEC tourney. Potentially only shuffled based on that “can’t have a team you’ve already played twice” in a certain part of the bracket rule.
Season sweep for duke over unc and the outright acc regular season title. They will prolly also be the number one overall seed in the tournament with auburn losing twice this week
Was in Raleigh tonight watching the game with some of my Duke classmates. Wow that dip before halftime had us wondering what the heck happened. I’m excited to see how the ACC tournament gears up for the big dance.
