I can't be upset that a Dawn Staley led team won the championship, as much as I was pulling for Iowa. She's the best.

 

Love that Staley said this is the most unlikely group to do it.. is it though?

 

They lost 5 players to the WNBA from last year’s team including the #1 overall pick.

 

Yet they have three girls over 6’7, the best 3 pt shooter in the nation, have been ranked #1 all season, and haven’t lost since last year’s tournament. Doesn’t feel all that unlikely.

What’s crazy is he and the AD went on local news after the meeting to say Cal was coming back and everything was good. Next few days should be interesting.
