Basketball is way better than football haha. Especially as I get older it gets more and more clear. College football is still good. I think there are some rules like targeting and reviews that need a lot of work, but I think the product is good. The NFL is really hard to watch a whole game. You are giving up your whole afternoon or evening. That's ridiculous. That's before you even get into the concussion/CTE side of things.

 

What a dumb technical.

 

Definitely a delay of game warning. Not a tech. He's getting the JR Smith treatment.

 

This team is so fucking frustrating to watch. The defense is so bad, the interior game sucks, and they play down to their opponents in every game. They're getting bounced in the first round, I'm calling it now.

 

Tatum is incredible though when he just says fuck it and goes to the rim.

I think my issue is that I go to every FSU/Duke game in Tallahassee and there are 0 Duke fans there and I'm diehard FSU since birth but I choose Duke in basketball. Anyway, there is no way to get good seats bc the stadium isn't huge but the student sections and yearly pass people take almost every good seat. I've been to final fours for womens and mens bball and yes, it was an experience I will never forget. 3 times at the FSU/Duke games duplicate seats were sold that we had. We got moved to a box though so that was cool.

I agree with this but college is well behind me so I haven't been in the student section in years.

I just don't want to even fucking watch anymore. I probably have an ulcer and this Grayson Allen shit, which I do agree with the first trips, the 3rd was bullshit and he can't do anything without being analyzed to death. The push of the FSU coach, he released a damn statement saying he didn't get pushed and Allen was just going for the ball and people are STILL talking like he did it on purpose.

I liked Jason Williams when he played and he has a goddamn chip on his shoulder for Grayson. Get the fuck over it. Coach K looked like a fool for only suspending 1 game but for real let's stop harping on the bullshit and let them play. That technical was a joke. I think it stems from Grayson being immature and not being able to control himself which isn't the end of the world. If he goes pro he will contest Draymond/Paul Pierce for most ridiculous/dramatic fouls. I've forgiven Allen and everyone needs to move on lol I could write a 50 page essay on my frustrations. I feel bad for Matt Jones, Amile Jefferson bc this is a shit fucking last season for them. I don't think they'll play after college? I could be wrong.

 

Jefferson will get looks overseas, if not NBA camp invites. It's a bit of a gun for hire system, but if you are willing to bounce from different teams and leagues as you work your way up, you can clean up in that career. I had a teacher that passed on better money (overseas) to basically work the French leagues where he met his wife. On top of making a mid-level six figure salary in Euros, he had his house, driver, and cook paid for. Not even one of the stars haha. When he was done playing he came back to Cleveland to substitute teach to keep from getting too bored, but he is maybe 40 and effectively retired and living a very nice lifestyle.

Tatum deserved a better Duke team this year. Heh. God he's good.

Pretty sure Jason knows I like Kennard at this point. I always roll in gushing about how good he was in high school and how much he's developed from last year haha. I would still like to see him return for one more year and be a leader with Jackson. If the late 1st round projections hold, I think he dips out.

Tatum really impresses me. He has to leave with a lottery projection, so I just hope he can show scouts that he can hit the NBA three and use his wingspan to be a passable defender. But the dude gets buckets. No doubt about it.

well, Nova just dropped 108 on St. John's on their home court in the Big East Tournament. Guess they are ready for March.

 

Would really like another Butler-Nova matchup. Those are usually fun games.

 

Shit season or not Kennard has been so fun to watch.

 

i am dreading tomorrow when happ/hayes shoot a combined 25 percent from the free throw line on 20 attempts total

 

This Duke/Louisville game has been great so far as expected

 

I think Nova will win this tournament. I say this as a diehard KU fan.

 

Hall is hitting that late February stride again.... please committee, don't bone us with another WEST COAST GAME AGAINST A WEST COAST TEAM WHO'S SEEDED LOWER THAN US.

how about a lovely 7/10 seed game against a team like Northwestern

 

I don't like Fresno State's chances to make it out of the MWC. They've been doing pretty great to end the season but I think the tournament will be the killer with all the back to backs.
