That Michigan hook shot going in and us continuing to miss perfect look threes from guys who average 40% sums up this second half so perfectly. So frustrating.
It tracks we’re losing to a team that didn’t have a resume to get in and had a coach suspended for attacking an opposing coach earlier in the season. We hit threes and that’s not a close game. Sickening.
As much as this feels like the easy take, it’s on the players missing threes they’ve hit all season this time.
I’m glad I publicly complained about Michigan getting in over A&M last weekend before it looked petty this weekend… but I must again ask how an (obviously very talented) 17-14 non-conference champion got into the tournament. God, we blew this game hard despite being extremely good in all facets of the game BUT threes. Sports are so damn weird.
If that Saint Peter’s “shot” had gone in, I would’ve done sprints around this bar. I’m very invested in these kids.
