they lost their best 4 players from last year....2 of them unexpectedly their 2 best players this year are worn out from having to carry the load and the rest of the team isn't stepping up to help them out this was always gonna be a down year. Next year's class is insane though.
The head ref of the Tenn-LSU game was unearthed as an LSU fan in old Facebook posts and then deleted the evidence yesterday one day before the LSU head coach is subpoenad by Congress for potentially cheating in the recruiting process. Hmmm. Arizona’s head coach in the same subpoena.
I dont know what to make of Marquette or st johns this year. Every threat in the conference took a step back and/or hit the rebuilding year all at once So I dont know if Marquette is taking advantage of that...or they're on target to be "back" and happen to have struck when the conference is down. Same with johnnies
I am so sick of this trend in the last few years where refs wait to see if a player makes a bucket before deciding to call a foul on the play
For the life of me, I cannot understand why Syracuse keeps a big man down near the block clogging the lane when they offer no actual offensive threat. And then you wonder why Battle, Brissett, and Howard don't drive the ball more often, even though Syracuse's offense only looks competent when they force defenses to respect the drive.
I'm ready for Boeheim to retire. I hope they can find a young, dynamic coach not married to the zone. Someone that can target one and done guys and sell them on building the program up and taking Duke/UNC down a notch, instead of getting system guys that are guaranteed to be on campus for multiple years.
My greatest fear is SU not dishing out the money to get an actually good coach players will want to play for because Jimmy B has taken such a low salary from there for so long (comparatively speaking, for a guy with his number of wins). I think his salary is just around $2 million
