I actually looked into this and apparently NBA players change their shoes every 2-3 games because they say their shoes break if they go much longer.
Duke is 4 years in to a 12 year deal with Nike as the only brand to supply the team with shoes and jerseys
They lost their best player 30 something seconds in completely changes the mindset of both teams and took all the energy away from duke. That injury doesn’t happen different outcome
