definitely a disappointing year for Maryland. Yeah they loss Trimble, but i thought the team was good enough to keep it up. I think if Jackson can stay healthy, Maryland's back in the tournament next year
it wasn't just trimble and jackson. cowan was pretty much a trimble duplicate. the problem was losing brantley before the season when we didn't expect to, and morsell couldn't handle the ball, so we had zero backups for cowan, who got run down late in games. losing jackson really hurt us as well, and bender was more big depth. there were games were our big rotation was bruno, obi, and tomaic, which is horrid depth. we're getting another five star big next year, as well as some extra guard/wing help, if bruno/jackson come back we SHOULD be good, if we aren't good then turgeon needs to be gone. i'm willing to use this year as a mulligan because we had pieces that looked excellent this year but our team wasn't really structured to handle what happened
i mean, the majority of your program’s problems, like mine, boil down to who is holding the clipboard on the sidelines.
i wonder if what happened to UCONN happens to the likes of Wisconsin and Syracuse (cuse' definitely). While i think Wisconsin is a bigger sports hub than uconn, we'll see just how important Bo Ryan was (he's an all time legend obviously)
Really feels like UConn is over considering their conference. I'm trying to just appreciate that like 25 year stretch, 4 championships and how fun Big East basketball was back in the day lol. I haven't watched them much this year and it bums me out that I don't want to
Can't help but feel all of this will either get bribed under the bus but if it does happen it'll be after march madness so it doesn't interfere with massive financial gains for the already wealthy
the end of the UVA-Louisville game might be the most insane shit I've ever seen https://deadspin.com/virginia-finis...source=deadspin_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow
Happ and Davison both in foul trouble the last five minutes and down by four isn’t too bad. Hopefully they are fresh for the second half.
Was a good game, Wisconsin gave us hell and looked pretty damn good. Hope we play Michigan next round and avenge that loss
Super duper play in game for Nebraska right now. It's a very rare clear cut win and in...lose your out game
hopefully without gard i like this bit where we swap our roles for overreactions between the bucks and badgers
It's already happening to Cuse IMO. They really aren't pulling in the quality they used to since they moved to the ACC. The team going between 18-14 and 20-12 with around a .500 ACC record is the new normal. It might get worse once Boeheim retires, but truthfully I don't think anyone is choosing to attend to play for him as much as they're choosing to attend to play for an ACC school. And even then they're getting guys who would rather start for a mid-tier ACC team instead of ride the bench for the better programs.
