Debut album. RIYL The National, LCD Soundsystem, Depeche Mode, the 80s but make it contemporary indie rock.

The vocal delivery is almost too similar to The National at times, but musically this is really great.

I don't think I've heard another band with a vocalist that sounds this similar to Matt - right down to everything from tone to melodies - but the music is so different from anything The National has made that I actually think him sounding nearly identical creates something fascinating. An alternate reality version of The National that will never exist lol.

I also think of this seemingly forgotten classic from 2015 every time I throw this record on.

Been meaning to make a thread for this, glad someone else did. This record is easily a top five of the year for me, just nonstop bangers for fans of New Order. It’s like the greatest hits record for a lost band.

Bump because this record is one of the best of the year and not enough people know about it.

    hmmm

Just discovered this. I guess it's pretty derivative but I'm really enjoying it.

The Wall & I is a delightful closer.
