I remember stumbling upon Nathan for You, having no idea what it was, and it was the episode with the antique shop and I swear I'm not being hyperbolic when I say it was the hardest I have ever laughed while watching tv. I was in pain from laughing so hard.
I had never heard of him or the show until a friend told me about him. My first episode was the electronics store. I thought I was going to have an aneurysm.
I remember Comedy Central's initial ads for "Nathan For You" were leaning hard on the poop ice cream and I thought it looked awful. I couldn't have been more wrong. I'm glad Nathan's taking his time with season 4. From what I understand, he's super hands-on with the creation of each episode, to an almost alarming degree. I'd rather he go slow than spread himself too thin.
Introducing people to the show, my go tos are the frozen yogurt, liquor store and Pink's segments...and then I show them the insanity that is the antique shop.
