I think the divisiveness of it shows how good and diverse of an album it is. Nobody is wrong.

 

I'm enjoying this today, it really fits the mood/weather (cool and grey) we're having.

Azulita is definitely a standout, and High Beam Composure starts out sounding like Goo Goo Dolls.

 

Dandelion Kids might be their thesis statement tbh

 

I'm reading through the lyrics on Bandcamp and man, I have NO idea what almost any of these songs are about lol

 

Gave this a random shot because of the cross post in the Coheed thread.

Man this really did it for me. Listened on my sunny mid afternoon country drive and let it sink in.

This album is really excellent. I can definitely hear the Coheed comparison, but I don't think that detracts at all.

 

try as The Dangerous Summer might it’s gonna be difficult to topple this on my AOTY list

 

Yeah that albums really good, the timing as a summer release might push it over

Really enjoying this after several listens. He sounded way too much like Claudio at first, but now his voice is much more distinguishable. Hopefully they'll get some good tours going

 

Wanderlush is basically a FIL song and I love it.

This Feels Just Like Heaven has gotta be my fav opener thus far for 2019. This album is just amazing.

 

Love how effortlessly that song flips the switch from rockin' to atmospheric

this is still my AOTY

 

Those transitions get me every time. This is a top five for sure

 

Yeah this is a grower for sure... a lot of understated tracks that I've only "gotten" on the 5th or 8th listen.

I still maintain that Garden Dreams showcased an even greater potential than what this LP delivered, but that gap has closed a bunch since my first impressions.

 

I thought this album far exceeded my expectations right from the get go, but an album of 11 tracks as good as Circadian Deity would.... probably be my favorite album of all time lol
