I've heard so many vague things about episode 5 and I am intensely curious but it's bedtime unfortunately. will see what all the fuss is about tomorrow
just taking a break to process that before I jump back into the comedy lmao they could not have asked for better actors to make that episode. motherfucking Cristin Milioti and Jake Johnson. absolute home run by the casting department
honestly don't know if I've laughed harder at this show than David's Sea of Nazis. I was fucking cackling thought the whole season was dropping today tho, bummer
excellent first ep (one of the show's best maybe), second one didn't quite hit the sweet spot but it was still fine
Watched the whole show on Saturday out of boredom and was pretty let down. Felt like the same experience I had with Space Force - a cast FULL of hilarious people that somehow just doesn't measure up. It's watchable for sure, but barely laughed at all Loved the Jake Johnson/Cristin Milioti episode, though. I want that show. And the quarantine episode had me tearing up there at the end. Quality acting from Rob and Charlotte
that one scene in the quarantine episode is one of the rawest things I've seen on television, ever I think this show is very funny, but the times it's broken from the formula are absolutely it's peaks so far and I hope they keep pushing that boundary. also McElhenney 100% missed his calling as a director, he's so good
McElhenney was connected as director to the Minecraft movie, of all things, for a few years -- I think it might be more that the right project didn't hit yet, and he'd rather work in situations where he has a full control. That said, I could see him moving to making movies of his own at some point and really wowing us.
it’s hard to tell how much of this is him vs. charlie and hornsby but yeah i’d love to see them collab on a larger scale together
the irony of that given how the Dark Quiet Death episode absolutely dunks on movies that cash in on video games is pretty funny lol would love to see him direct a movie in general though, he has the chops
I'm not sure why he only ever directed like 2 or 3 Sunnys ever and they're all in the extremely early seasons
I loved this week’s episode and the space it gave Pudi and Parvesh Cheena (who’s sadly typecast as the jolly, naive character) to act against type. Also, was pretty funny.
