Something about this feels off. The jokes feel way too rapid fire at points. It's probably always been that way, but for some reason it is starting to irk me.
yeah, like a lot of the jokes hit before the on-screen stuff that warranted the joke takes place. Maybe it gets better, but two episodes in, I've noticed it all too often.
I've still only watched the premiere but this was some of what felt off to me about it. I still enjoyed it but I hope it gets into a (slower) groove as the season rolls on.
I liked the second episode more, even if the frequency of jokes is still a little high. Cry Wilderness was such a perfect MST3K movie.
Up through episode 8 now and enjoying it. It might be a half step below the original series but I honestly don't think it's that far off.
I'm on the second episode and even though it has a lot of laughs, I definitely feel this way too. They seem to be a little too afraid of either shooting down someone's joke or letting one sit in silence. It's annoying because it doesn't let some of the good jokes land.
Sadly haven't gotten through much of this, but it feels like they turn the frequency of the jokes down just a bit in the third and fourth episodes and it's better for it. It's still a little rapid fire, but it's improving as it goes on. It may not be perfect but I'm still very, very happy this exists.
I only saw the episode of that star wars rip-off, and it was pretty boring and cringe worthy at times.

I think regular tickets are around $40-50 If it were coming to Dallas, I'd consider going, but alas not a single TX date.
Can't stop watching this lately, trying to work my way through all of the classic Mike episodes. Any idea when the new Netflix series is supposed to come back?
There are going to be six episodes and they started working on it at the beginning of June. Not much more info that I've seen.

New season on Thanksgiving, November 22nd. http://news.avclub.com/exclusive-mystery-science-theater-3000-s-new-season-ge-1829297286
Yeeee I still have to finish the last season (I watch it intermittently on nights off) but always excited for new episodes
Gonna watch all of the Gauntlet because I got the night off work. Watched a bit of a random one when it dropped but never watched a full one/attempted to watch all six in a row. Kinda wish I had beer but I won't have time to do it for the next few days and I really wanna now. Mac and Me was great. Riffs feel a little more natural than the first reboot season. It's still not as funny as the originals but I'm enjoying it a lot and glad to have more of it. Atlantic Rim is kinda painful though, movie is just so fucking bad. I think I prefer them doing older movies -- newer ones just feel strange and unnatural
