Good advice. I’ll reduce my fury now haha.

When I say goofy songs, I’m mostly referring to Programming, Complex & Lucky to Be Alive and only from the POV of a casual MMJ fan. To someone who isn’t all in on Jim James & the dudes, there’s some lyrical moments in the verses of those tracks that can make you scratch your head.

That livestream from last night on YouTube was stellar.

Seeing this band tonight! First time since 7/7/2017, wow that feels like a lifetime ago. Of their songs that didn't exist then I think I'm most excited to potentially hear "Wasted" and "In Color."

Wife is coming with me, her second-ever Jacket show. She kinda likes them haha--digs most of their older songs she's heard me playing over and over through the years but doesn't dig the guitar hero and psych jam stuff they do live. Figure if she can make it through Dead & Co she'll make it through this though...

Wouldn't be her speed but hope I get it anyway. This is my sixth or seventh time seeing em and I've only ever heard Dondante once, just bad luck

See, my wife was kinda the opposite - her first experience with them was seeing them live in Philadelphia at the Mann Center where they proceeded to melt everyone's collective faces, but then when I played Circuital and The Waterfall for her she was kinda like "what the hell is this?!?" and thought I was playing a trick on her.

The same thing happened with the opener, Band of Horses, only even worse. I like them, she had never heard them, the show was fucking incredible because they really play the hell out of the songs live sometimes I guess, so she asked me to play their latest album in the car on the way home, which was Mirage Rock. She couldn't believe it was even the same band.

The MMJ albums she just thought were not that great, the Band of Horses album she thought was fucking terrible and asked me to shut it off haha.

So nice of them to wait for me to be there to debut "Least Expected" and "Penny" live too! Gotta say "Penny" really stood out live, so good

Jealous about least expected for sure. But getting penny on top of that is just too much

Yea I'm gonna have to buy this for myself. So good looking and it's the next best thing to being at one of their live shows.

true. the only way I could ever surpass what I've spent on them in 2021 is if I ever attend one big holiday and I was really close this time.

One of the best live albums ever. $87 with shipping is a tough one to swallow, but I needed to have it. Nice looking records too.

Yeah I mean I'm rebuilding my collection so this isn't *really* fair but I've bought the following in the last 18 months from them:

    -Waterfall II spotify exclusive
    -Live 2015 white 3xLP
-At Dawn transluscent orange 3xLP reissue
    -ISM smoke color repress
-bought a used copy of Z
    -S/T sunburst press
-Tennessee Fire 3xLP reissue, clearwater blue repress
    -Okonokos 4xLP

Plus two tickets to the STL show. I think that's it for my 2021 MMJ budget haha. Don't think I'll be spending that much on them in 2022.....unless they do a multi-night stand at Red Rocks, in which case I'm going

I don't usually care about reissues or bonus tracks/new packaging but those two records are like...a part of my bones basically. 100% worth it, highly recommend

I do believe this is my favorite live album of all time, and it's not even close.

    For me it's

    Okonokos
    Bruce Live 75-85
    Grateful Dead Europe '72
Either The Last Waltz or Rock of Ages
Any then honestly #5 is probably Live Drugs already

these are great lists for someone who doesn't have a lot of goto live albums. guess i overlook that category a lot.

that said, if i did have a list, Okonokos would be my top
