Completely fair (and Miss You is whatever but was fun in the moment) but the Dancefloors>Happy>Dancefloors ending was a++

Yeah I haven’t listened to it since I saw them for those shows in April lol. Played a song or two maybe once or twice. I think I like it more than s/t as a whole but best songs on s/t are definitely so much better

 

They could write five more albums and Masterplan would still be in their top 10

 

Ok they jammed out River Road to the point where I think it might be their best LP closer

 

That’s an egregious take lol but I’ll let you have it for the evening (and it certainly was good live)

 

It’s just not better than Think I’m Going to Hell, Strangulation, Touch Me 2 at a minimum. And then there’s Dondante…

They played this Carl song last night. Had never heard it but it was beautiful.

 

Love that one live, some of my favorite solos of his have come on the back half of it

I’m really appreciating “The Way that He Sings” these days. Feels like you’re soaring through the air if you close your eyes while they play it.

 

I don't really go to shows anymore, and it's been a long time since I've seen these guys live, but I just got their really nice email that they send out thanking people for coming to their shows and wishing everyone peace and love - I definitely think I'm gonna have to make it a point to catch them when they come near Boston next time around

This is the only band I follow where every time I see them I feel like I’m going to a giant family reunion. Cheesy as it sounds, I’ve never had a bad experience interacting with any other fans at any of the ~20 shows I’ve been to since ‘09.

I can’t say that about other bands I’ve seen just as much.
