My Life In 35 Songs, Track 8: “Feeling a Moment” by Feeder • Page 2

  1. Yes, I've seen a lot of SP comparisons with their early work. I'll admit I'm not real familiar with SP beyond the radio singles. Should probably fix that!

You should! I can't claim to be a massive fan or anything, but their early stuff is great. If you like that first Feeder album, I have to imagine you'd dig Siamese Dream.

  3. I moved on to Echo Park the last couple days and man, what a cool album. Starting to hear that transition into the CiS/PtS sound. Really enjoying my deep dive on this band. I need a Feeder thread!

I, like you, was not as into Yesterday Went Too Soon. Will have to check out Echo.

  5. Yeah, out of those first three albums, Yesterday has by far the lowest hit rate for me at this point. It feels a little stuck in between where they started and where they were going. And with the unevenness, it feels its length.

Apparently none of these first three albums have been pressed to vinyl since they were initially released, which is unfortunate because I'm starting to get the urge to go shopping.

They are one of many bands that needs to do some work getting their catalog properly represented in the vinyl format. I really want a copy of Pushing the Senses. That one at least has been pressed, but it ain't cheap these days!

  7. I managed to snag a copy of Pushing the Senses for $65 on eBay back in 2017. Felt expensive at the time, but vinyl prices are just absurd now. I preordered the Comfort in Sound repress. I'd love to own more of their catalog!
