His vocals are crazy good on that song. I've always wished the screams at the end were a bit louder in the mix though.
Yeah, they closed the set with it the first time I saw them back in 2010 and that's when I really fell in love with it.
They played the album in full and in order in 2006 when I I saw them, but they closed with it on projekt Rev in 2007(also played Heaven Help Us right before it :) )
Mama is great and any time it comes up on shuffle I can't help but think "that's fuckin Liza Minnelli singing with my favorite band". Blows my mind.
Funny story: Me and my friends in high school had a dance called 'the factory dance' that we did to mama during the breakdown because one of my friends said it sounded like a factory when he was drunk. I believe there's a drunken video of all of us doing
One of the reasons I like brackets is it makes me go back to an album and often find a hidden/underappreciated gem, which is usually better identified by other fans admiration. But with that said, in this instance, I still can't see how Venom is (or was) beating Helena... Helena.
