There were a group of girls around me who all sighed when Vampires started but went mad for SING. It's funny how different tastes can be for the same band. I think Glasgow was pretty close to perfect for me.
I was maybe 6 rows back to the left of centre facing Gerard. Probably not far! Famous Last Words pyro went hard!
I was on the right side. Yeah, the production in general was great. I really loved the extended Mama.
Desert song and vampires are sick ! if i get another DD heavy set for Detroit I will be upset (Toronto last year was very much that)
I will say the audience around me was almost entirely dead for The Kids From Yesterday which was a real shame.
I love Kids but I've seen them close with it a few times and it always feels like a bit of a limp finish.
They were on top form tonight in terms of performance though, they've come a long way since the last time I saw them which was basically the start of the Swarm tour. Seeing them firing on all cylinders just makes me want a new album even more. Let's go 2027.
Yeah, my takeaway from Friday was that there is very little chance IMO that a band this creative and interesting isn’t at least trying to do new music.
it's nice to know that we can all at least agree that they're at the top of their game creatively right now. long live in tampa is still the best concert experience i've ever had. just funny to look back and see the people (not necessarily in here bc i don't remember) who all thought this tour was gonna be a cash grab when it was first announced.
I swear when they were thanking Rich Costey for everything he's done Gerard said that they'd sent him some stuff recently to work on. But I may have misheard.
Trying to give the Three Cheers remaster another chance and Give Em Hell Kid still just pisses me off lol. The beginning is just sapped of all it's energy and the rest of the song just feels like they messed with all the levels just to be different
I will never stop believing. I will never log off. I love DND, Audrey Hepburn, Fangoria, Harry Houdini, and croquet. I can't swim, can't dance, and I don't know karate. And I fucking KNOW this band is gonna make more music.
I went to the Glasgow show. I went to the merch pre-show expecting to not have to wait too long, but the que was over an hour long. I took my son out a walk for it, so absolutely no chance i could wait. Was after the vinyl and poster On the way back we did see the entrance for the band to go in, and they had a bagpiper going in at that point which was cool. I would say until recently i had been more of a passenger listening to them because my partner was into them. I was put off by them in 2011 when we saw them at a festival and both were a bit dissapointed. However, they have been great over the past few years! I thought the show was epic. I am all in on the clown lore! Anyone got any pressing info on the show exclusive vinyl?
I was at wembley night 2 and the pyro for that song was probably the coolest thing I’ve ever seen at a show. I’ve never seen fireworks, fire, and rockets(??) going off all at the same time, it sounded like a war zone in there. And then you add in all the other flammable effects throughout the show and it was just truly a spectacle. I have tickets to the Halloween show as well, my plan was to decide which show to go to and sell the others, but now I’m keeping those for sure.
Me neither! The rocket firework things were sick. Absolutely the coolest effects I’ve seen at any show ever. The sound of the screeching firework over the top of Famous Last Words was awesome.
