I felt this when they ended up playing most of the tracks from each album each night at the forum in 2022. I got the 2nd night so I got to hear most of Three Cheers (so sick) but had I known I would have also got Danger Days night!
That’s probably the most random and hot set I’ve seen. I would’ve loved it. Unfortunately I know that when I get to see them they will play farts through a pipe. (I will still enjoy the farts.)
Ok that makes me feel better about my date haha. I wonder what he'll play. If they got Demolition Lovers yesterday maybe we can get I Never Told You What I Do for a Living tonight.
It’s so insane that I’m going to the Saturday, and no supports were announced when I got my ticket. Sunny Day and Circa are two of my favourite bands. Makes up for Demolition Lovers!
Also, this band’s love of camp and naff theatre is something I simply would not tolerate from other bands, but with them it just works. Brilliant show, certainly the best I’ve seen from them.
“Ain't a DJ going to save my soul I sold it long ago for rock 'n' roll Drop the needle when the tape deck blows I got to shout this out so everybody knows…” - “Party Poison” - Danger Days on cassette for the first time!
have always loved this song, but the "we can ____ if we try" line on the chorus is maddeningly inscrutable to me and this performance didn't clear it up. Genius says "kill them," and it would fit, but it doesn't sound like that!
they're streaming their show on tiktok right now and the b-stage set is about to start for those interested TikTok - Make Your Day
These b-stage sets have me so excited for the Halloween show I’m seeing where they aren’t playing The Black Parade. I want it to be a full show of these crazy sets
For anyone who didn't see tonight's second set was Danger Days heavy. Boy Division Party Poison I'm Not OK Desert Song Vampires Will Never Hurt You Na Na Na SING Helena Kids From Yesterday
Great show but kinda disappointing setlist. It was nice to hear Desert Song and Vampires fucking ripped as always but otherwise not exactly my jam! I mean the songs are all great but would be way down on my wishlist and I didn't get any of my dream songs.
I feel the same sort of, but Vampires and Desert Song were high on my list so that helped. I’ve gotta say though, the attitude of some of their fans is horrendous. Sitting on the floor between sets and making no effort to let people around them (going out or in), just staring people down. Shit vibes. Vibes near B stage were great though, felt like a proper gig.
This was pretty close to my ideal setlist, so to each their own (still waiting on my dream of Kill All Your Friends though)
I caught MCR 4 times in the Danger Days era on different legs and they never did Party Poison once. Hopefully they play it in Queens
Vampires was easily my favourite part of the night, I went fucking nuts. I saw a few shitty people but I think I was pretty lucky in general. I managed to get pretty close to the front and then got a great view of the b stage too only a few rows back.
