It's time for MCR to suck it up and do what everyone has already made clear they want and release new music from The Used
I assume it’ll include both California and Zero Percent, and the Mad Gear and Missile Kid songs, and that could either be as an included 7” or on the LP with other tracks. Could also include Sing It For Japan and some demos. Maybe a live track or two. I don’t expect anything “new” except for demos really.
i could see maybe a single unheard B-side (apparently there are a few fabled ones that people knew of that never saw the light of day, mainly from the CW sessions), but i'm not expecting a ton of new material.
I'd love to get a recorded version of Someone Out There Still Loves You or an earlier version of The World Is Ugly. I know those are technically from the sessions before Danger Days but it's kind of all the same thing lol.
i'd love for them to release the TPK sessions, but i think the consensus was that they weren't happy with what they created (especially Gerard, as it coincided with mental health and addiction issues, hence why they broke up), so they ultimately buried it. sure, since it's out there, they could theoretically release it through their label, but if they planned to, i don't think Warner's lawyers would be so active in trying to keep it buried.
between general link sharing, YouTube's copyright detection system, lyric sharing, and even posting covers of TPK songs, pretty much anything having to do with the album - aside from discussion of it - has been taken down swiftly by Warner. many folks who privately shared material over Discord were met with numerous copyright strikes, with some of their accounts being flagged for deletion. not even Genius will host the lyrics anymore. i don't think the band's making a concentrated effort to take down material themselves, but i also don't think they're fighting it. if Swifties can get Taylor to officially release one of her leaked songs due to fans liking it (All of the Girls You Loved Before) but MCR fans can't for TPK, it doesn't seem like it'll ever get an official release at this point.
I still return to High Hopes from that TPK thing that came out. I need to relisten to the whole thing again here soon.

Nothing really that interesting for me sadly but these could be cool for people who like the album but don't own it.
