There’s being a band, then there’s being a money machine that gets beat like a piñata. I’m still seeing them in Sept. with Jimmy Eat World so…
I hope they have a 20th anniversary vinyl for the black parade this year. They did the 10th anniversary and I was about to buy that a couple months ago but I’m waiting to see if they do anything for its 20th this year. Maybe a new mix Edit: Saw that there is a milky clear 20th anniversary variant but its $96 new and doesn't contain any demos lol yeah right My Chemical Romance / The Black Parade (20th Anniversary Milky Clear V
i feel like they'd advertise if it was a remaster. that hype sticker doesn't really indicate that it is
That’s a regular press that’s been available. Would be cool to get a deluxe remaster/re-release. Or maybe some kind of version that has new pieces-parts or an alternate version that goes along with the current tour and stage production. I dunno, they could do something really elaborate and stupid but because the band is big butthole we probably won’t get anything cool.
have you considered acting less entitled and just let the band do what they want to do? Posts like this really suck.
this thread is just so fucking whiny and toxic. there's nothing wrong with wanting a band you like to release new music but the entitled temper tantrums that get posted in here, its not the bands fault that you take every burp and fart as a sign that theyre releasing or teasing something. its not the band's fault that you continue to be let down by your own silly expectations of them. go outside and breathe some fresh air i promise it'll be good for you.
i'm generally of the opinion that bands that reunite only to become nostalgia acts are less-intriguing to me than bands that reunite and record/release new material together. that being said, while i'd also like new music, i don't know how helpful it is to think that world-building around an anniversary tour is somehow ignoring those requests. i think the band is very much aware of the desire for them to release another album, and maybe it happens, maybe it doesn't. there were rumors they were working on new material, and i hope they pan out. for now, an entire scrapped album (and more) has seen the light of day, and i think that'll hold me over for a while.
Sorry, I'm a fairly casual fan of MCR and am not finding results quickly when searching - which release are you referring to here? Thanks in advance.
Danger Days and Conventional Weapons front to back, with a second set of other hits afterwards. would love to be there for it.
Danger Days exclusively and those with bad and incorrect opinions are disappointed, while those with good and correct opinions leave delighted.
i love Danger Days and Conventional Weapons more than some others, but i feel like in-between those two albums (since CW did start out as a first pass at Danger Days) you could take a handful of songs from each and piece together a 10/10 album.they'll always feel linked for me, and i'd love to see a tour celebrating that period of their discography.
Danger Days is great and all but a tour for that album is the last thing I'd want to see them do. I'm still holding out hope for new stuff after this tour finally ends. For now I'll just look forward to my show lol.
I think the merch announcements are kinda dumb too but I’m also not bothered by them in the slightest lol. Band can do what they want and it’s so fucking easy to just ignore it folks!
