I think some people have pointed out elsewhere that some of these tracks were used in promotional material around the “Return” shows in 2019/2020.

This is sick. I don’t think it’s fair to criticize unfinished work but yea.

It's crazy that this is a fully fleshed out album to the point that it has plenty of song transitions. I'm kind of in love with most of this. Hooks-wise I don't feel like there's a "hit" on it til War Beneath The Rain but the only song I straight up don't like is Birthday Girl. Dark Cloud has to vocally grow on me but musically it kinda drones on (complimentary) like something that would work on Bullets. Wake Up is just ok. Louder into Narito Airport is so cool to me.

I'm not past War yet but I'm just so psyched to have this

I'm the most casual of casual fans but I decided to check the leaks out and I kind of really love all of the songs so far?

Dark Cloud may be the worst song I have ever listened to. No polishing up in post can fix whatever that is.

Operation Day after Bike Thief already feels like some of their best work to me

I've seen some posts out there that connect the dots on what the narrative threads of these songs are, and feel like I've just been saying "ooooooh" for the past twenty minutes. Kind of blown away by how quickly people are able to analyze these things.

"Dive" remains most fucked up, though.

Only halfway through the album right now and this is going to be a controversial statement, but thank God this leaked. I cannot possibly imagine sitting on recordings of this quality and not letting anyone ever hear them.

Maybe I'm in a mood because of Wonder Man, but a message in that series hit me in the right way, about how the job of an actor is to hold a mirror up to life to make other people feel less alone, and it strikes me that musicians are much the same way.

I get the band not wanting to put this out from the perspective of not wanting to tour behind it or have it be a part of their repertoire they'd be expected to promote or perform, but I dunno, I feel like you just find a way to get it out there anyway, because this might be the thing that makes someone's day. God knows I needed this.

I honestly adore this album and feel really grateful we get to hear it after all this time. They were absolutely onto something here and I don’t think it’s “unsalvageable”. I would have loved to see what they had planned with the 2020~ish version, but at this point I’ll take anything.

Foundations of Decay is a top 5 for me in their discography and I hope when they’re done with the nostalgia fest, they’ll drop something even more monumental than this leak.

This sounds like a soundtrack/movie score. A lot to digest here. A lot of piano too haha.

Crazy that this even exists the way it does. They put so much time into this project and just scrapped it. Insane!

I honestly did not expect this to be so fully formed when listening to it. It may be unmastered but it's arguably better quality than a lot of official releases.
