First two albums are classics Rest of their discography is probably equal parts hit and miss for me If Jeph still does the screaming live that's bad cause he's in the running for worst screams I've ever heard
I'm not sure if this should go in the accountability thread but one time at a Used gig, Bert phlegmed on me from the stage. At the same show I also caught one of his bejewelled black fingerless gloves. It's probably the grimmest gig memory I have, looking back. Just felt like a good moment to share this info.
Still curious who’s opening for the first few Hollywood bowl shows and why it’s the only shows without announced openers
I got SDRE, one of my favourite bands. Absolutely the best possible result. Given how varied the other supports are, I’ve lucked out!
they could easily pay her medical bills with their Ticketmaster surge pricing, but nah, they continue to be as cold and distant as possible with their fanbase. The show is great, but I’ve lost a good amount of respect for them as people over their blatant capitalism.
It made me mad cause the la shows were supposed to end the tour. But that's clearly not happening now
what happened though? was the incident something they caused? i'm very confused by the response here. not for nothing but based on how just people on this website post and act with them, i wouldnt want to interact with 'fans' either. see
also its so lame to see people complaining that these dudes are just out here making money. 'blatant capitalism' yeah man theyre artists and wanna get paid for their art and performance. what's the issue??
I remember seeing this post on their subreddit a few months back, she explains it here https://www.reddit.com/r/MyChemical...my_chemical_romance_concert_accident_left_me/
that's awful (and terrifying). i assume she's done enough research that what she's saying about her legal options (or lack of) is accurate, which also sucks. can't imagine anyone who is traveling abroad to see a concert or anything is even remotely considering "wow if i get horribly injured there i won't really have any recourse". it would be nice for her to get some acknowledgement from the venue or their representation, but yeah "they could pay her medical bills with their ticket fees" is such a dumb takeaway from all that, sorry.
It’s absolutely lame as fuck they have dynamic pricing enabled, when they could speak out or do something about it. As if they need to gouge their fans to turn a profit. If it weren’t for their recent tour having some effort in creative direction, I’d have said this band has given up and doesn’t care entirely. The ticket prices, the merch prices, the lack of engagement with fans, the lack of new original material. It’s absolutely like watching a heritage rock act just squeezing every last penny out of their fans. That you’ll never see them do a one off smaller show now or anything other than a gargantuan arena tells you something, surely? These are just more paydays for a band that is disconnected from their audience. I don’t understand how anyone could look at them now and not think they’re riding on goodwill from their past. Gerard Way is one Pez dispenser away from being Gene Simmons. Too far? Okay, but you get my point.
Yea. Charge what you need to charge to put on that show and make a decent profit, but any artist (99 percent of them actually) enabling Ticketmaster’s surge pricing bullshit, AND allowing resale above face value, which we just this year found out can be turned off (Hayley and Olivia dean come to mind), is gonna get some shit from me
